Infection Control/Prevention Program Manager

Position Overview

Join the infection prevention team at the facility as an Infection Control/Prevention Program Manager. This is a full-time role covering infection prevention and control across all patient care areas—inpatient, emergency department, surgery, procedural, and ambulatory settings.

Shift & Schedule

  • 8-hour days, Monday–Friday
  • 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Start by 8:30 AM latest
  • Flexible scheduling within the framework
  • Occasional weekend reviews of construction activity
  • No holidays required
  • No on-call duties

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct device and environmental rounding across procedural, inpatient, and ED areas
  • Perform surgical site infection (SSI) surveillance
  • Monitor healthcare-associated infections and device-related infections
  • Participate in daily safety huddles at 8:30 AM
  • Assist with orientation of newly hired staff members
  • Collaborate with quality and regional infection prevention leaders

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, public health, epidemiology, medical technology, or related healthcare field
  • Certified in Infection Control (CIC)
  • Current BLS certification (AHA)
  • RN license required
  • Experience in infection control; former leadership experience preferred

What to Expect

You will be the primary infection prevention specialist initially, with plans to expand the team. This is a collaborative role—not a management position overseeing others, but one that shapes the department's direction and mentors incoming staff.

Navy scrubs (RN) or black scrubs/business casual (if non-RN)

  • 40 guaranteed hours per week
