Emergency Room Nurse – 13-Week Contract

Position Overview

The facility's Emergency Department is seeking an experienced RN for 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM). This is a 36-hour-per-week contract position starting immediately, with a 13-week duration.

Key Requirements

• Current Massachusetts RN License
• Minimum 2 years of current Emergency Department experience
• Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association)
• ED /Cardiac Room experience preferred
• IV Certification preferred
• ENPC and CEN preferred
• BSN preferred
• Own vehicle required
• Ability to work independently while following unit protocols and guidelines

Shift & Schedule Details

• 12-hour night shifts: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
• 36 hours per week
• Every-other-weekend coverage required as needed
• Holiday work required: You must work two holiday blocks if scheduled—Thanksgiving/day after, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day/weekend after, and New Year's Eve through New Year's Day/weekend after
• Maximum 5 days of requested time off permitted (less preferred)
• All scheduling requests must be submitted at time of application; requests after offer will not be approved
• No concurrent permanent or travel assignments

Clinical Scope

You'll provide direct patient care in a busy emergency setting, managing , cardiac patients, and acute medical needs. Strong critical thinking, communication, and emotional stability in high-pressure situations are essential.

Dress Code

Personal scrubs of any color.
