Cardiac Progressive Care Unit — 13-Week Travel Position

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Location: Asheville, NC

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week

The Opportunity

Join the cardiac progressive care team at the facility, working with patients across the spectrum of cardiac and metabolic conditions. You'll care for patients with CHF, MI, arrhythmias, pulmonary hypertension, valvular disease, endocarditis, DKA, and those recovering from cardiac catheterization, stent placement, pacemaker/ICD insertion, and ablation. The unit handles bedside cardioversion and requires strong familiarity with titratable cardiac IV medications including nitroglycerin, Cardizem, amiodarone, dopamine, dobutamine, insulin drips, heparin, and diuretics.

What You'll Need

• Required: Stepdown or progressive care experience + telemetry certification
• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Preferred: Experience with prostacyclins (Flolan, Veletri, Remodulin) and relief charge duties

Schedule & Expectations

• Night shift (7 PM – 7 AM)
• Every other weekend
• Patient ratio: 1:4 (may stretch to 1:5)
• Float to medical-surgical units, stepdown units, COVID unit, and ER holding as needed

Dress Code

All white, all navy, or white top with navy blue pants.
