Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist – 13-Week Contract

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist to join a dynamic interventional cardiology team. You'll work in a busy diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization lab performing a wide range of coronary and structural heart procedures.

Shift & Schedule

4 x 10-hour days: 07:30–16:00 (or 09:30–18:00)
On-call required every 4–5 weekends
13-week contract
Scrubs provided
Orientation: 32 hours

Requirements

Current ARRT (R), ACLS, and BLS certifications
Minimum 2 years diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab experience
First-time travelers accepted with 2 years of experience
Valid state license/certification at submission

Clinical Scope

You'll assist with diagnostic catheterizations, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), coronary and peripheral angioplasty, stent placement, rotablator atherectomy, thrombectomy, TAVR, and structural heart procedures. You'll have hands-on experience with Impella, IABP, advanced imaging (OCT, IVUS), lithotripsy, and vascular closure systems. The lab handles a daily census of approximately 25 patients across 4 rooms.

3D imaging, hemodynamic monitoring, fluoroscopy
Sterile technique and equipment setup/maintenance
Dysrhythmia recognition and response
Central line and temporary pacemaker support
Cross-functional collaboration with respiratory, pharmacy, and cardiology teams

Compliance

Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed). Complete labs within 48 hours of contract signing.
