Labor & Delivery Nurse – 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery nurse to join the obstetric team. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients in accordance with professional standards and organizational policies. This role requires specialized knowledge, clinical judgment, and the ability to provide developmentally appropriate care across the patient population.
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Hours: 36 guaranteed per week
- Contract: 13 weeks
- Start Date: September 15, 2026
- On-call and weekend schedule to be determined by the facility
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of recent, high-volume Labor & Delivery experience
- Current Maryland RN license
- Active ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association)
- Active EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) certification
- Active NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) certification
- COVID-19 vaccination (required; state record documentation needed)
- Previous travel nursing experience
- Willingness to obtain EFM or NIHSS certification within 48 hours if needed
- Ability to work the facility's full schedule with no restrictions
- NRP certification preferred
