Emergency Department RN – Night Shift

Shift & Duration

• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• 13-week contract
• Start date: September 25, 2026

About the Role

The facility's Emergency Department is a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. You'll and assess incoming patients, respond to trauma activations and codes, manage acute and emergent conditions, and collaborate with physicians and specialists on care plans. Responsibilities include administering medications and treatments, monitoring patients awaiting admission or discharge, educating patients and families, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring safe patient flow in a high-volume setting.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (Ohio or compact state) in hand at time of submission — non-negotiable
• 18 months of combined permanent ER experience required (travel experience counts; may be consolidated from multiple locations)
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications — active and in hand at submission
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) preferred
• One professional reference from a manager, charge nurse, or supervisor from the past 12 months required
• Must work at least every other holiday

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN (ADN accepted)
• CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse)

Pre-Employment Requirements

• ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments completed during orientation (passing score required)
• Background check and FBI prints completed within 48 hours of contract signing
• COVID-19 and flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions available)
