Emergency Department Nurse

Position Overview

Join a busy emergency department serving a diverse community. This 13-week contract offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-volume setting where teamwork and patient-centered care are core values.

Shift & Schedule

• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour nights)
• Schedule: Every other weekend required; flexibility to meet departmental staffing needs
• Floating: No floating outside the ED, but willingness to float to all sections within the department is essential

Clinical Environment

Required Certifications (Before Start Date)

ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, and ENPC (within 90 days of hire)

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an ER setting
• Experience in a Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED preferred
• Previous HCA experience a plus
• Strong teamwork mentality with ability to provide real-time coaching and feedback
• Flexibility to work across all ED areas

Patient Experience Standards

You'll apply AIDET principles, maintain respectful communication, keep patient boards current, and ensure patients are informed throughout their visit.
