Transplant Nephrology | Med/Surg | Kansas City, MO
This 13-week contract places you on a Transplant Nephrology unit in Kansas City, MO, caring for patients with complex renal conditions including kidney transplants and end-stage renal disease. Dialysis is coordinated off the unit, keeping the floor focused on med/surg-level nephrology care.
Shift & Schedule
- Days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 3 weekend shifts per month
- No on-call requirement
Unit Support
- Daytime unit secretary and Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) on the floor
- Unit educator available for clinical support
- Virtual nurse handles patient admissions, allowing bedside nurses to focus on direct patient care
Float Policy
Agency/contract nurses float first.
Required Qualifications
- ADN minimum
- BLS certification
- Background in Med/Surg, nephrology, renal care, kidney transplant, or dialysis strongly preferred
Dress Code
Royal blue scrubs; black scrub pants permitted.
