Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse for its dialysis unit on a 13-week contract. You'll provide direct patient care in a dialysis setting, managing treatment protocols and collaborating with certified dialysis technicians to deliver high-quality care.

Schedule & Requirements

• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Hours: 36 hours per week (flexible to 48 hours as needed)
• Rotation: Every other weekend; call coverage as required; holidays as assigned
• Float expectation: Must be willing to float to other units and facilities as needed
• Dress code: Solid navy scrubs

Clinical Scope

You'll work in a dialysis unit providing bedside and peritoneal dialysis treatments. Patient ratios are 1:2 (RN:patient) or 1:3 (RN + Certified Dialysis Technician:patient). The facility will provide training if you're unfamiliar with the equipment used.

Requirements

• License: Active RN license (Alabama or compact state; temporary licenses not accepted)
• Certification: AHA BLS or Red Cross certification
• Education: Associate degree in nursing
• Experience: Minimum 2 years as an RN, with at least 1 recent year in dialysis
• Language: Ability to read, write legibly, speak, and comprehend English
• Note: Professional nursing certification is preferred
