SICU Nurse – Night Shift (Travel)

Location: Cleveland, OH

Shift: Night – 3x12-hour (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Start Date: September 25, 2026

About the Role

The facility's surgical intensive care unit is seeking an experienced RN for night shift coverage. You'll provide direct, comprehensive care to critically ill post-operative and surgical patients requiring intensive monitoring, advanced life support, and rapid intervention.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and respond to changes in patient condition with hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and titratable vasoactive/sedation drips
• Manage arterial lines, central lines, and advanced critical care equipment
• Collaborate with the surgical team, intensivists, and interdisciplinary staff on plan of care
• Perform rapid response and code interventions as needed
• Educate patients and families; accurately document in the EMR
• Maintain infection control and safety protocols for high-acuity patients

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license (Ohio or compact state)
• 18 months of recent SICU experience (travel experience counts)
• Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• CCRN preferred
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted

Important Notes

• You must work at least every other holiday
• ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments required during orientation (2 attempts to pass)
• Permanent Ohio or compact license must be in hand at submission
• One professional reference (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director) from past 12 months required
• COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions only)
