Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
About the Role
The facility's Labor and Delivery unit is a high-volume, fast-paced perinatal service performing over 500 deliveries per month. You'll work alongside an academic teaching service and private OB practices in a dynamic environment with 24-hour in-house attending OB, anesthesia, and NICU coverage.
Clinical Scope
You'll provide direct patient care across Labor, Delivery, and Recovery (LDR) suites, cesarean sections, mother-baby couplet care, and antepartum monitoring. The unit also includes a Women's Emergency Department serving obstetric and gynecologic patients from 16 weeks gestation through 6 weeks postpartum. You may also participate in the Perinatal Transport Program.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse license (Texas)
- Minimum 3 years Labor and Delivery/Perinatal experience in a high-volume delivery setting
- BLS Provider certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Advanced Life Support certification
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification
- Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- S.T.A.B.L.E Program certification
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification
