- 36 guaranteed hours per week
About the Role
The facility's labor and delivery service is a high-volume perinatal center managing complex, high-risk pregnancies and deliveries. You'll work in a fast-paced environment handling over 500 deliveries monthly, supported by 24/7 in-house attending physicians, anesthesia, and neonatal intensive care coverage. The unit includes labor/delivery/recovery suites, operating rooms for cesarean delivery, , mother-baby couplet rooms, and antepartum monitoring beds.
What You'll Do
- Manage labor progression, fetal monitoring, and delivery care for low- and high-risk patients
- Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and neonatal specialists
- Perform neonatal resuscitation and stabilization
- Participate in the facility's perinatal transport program
- Support a teaching service environment
Required Credentials & Experience
- Current Texas RN license
- BLS Provider (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification
- Minimum 2 years labor and delivery/perinatal experience in a high-volume delivery service
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
Preferred
- 3–5 years perinatal clinical experience
- S.T.A.B.L.E. Program certification
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
