Registered Nurse – Telemetry
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse for its telemetry unit. You will provide continuous cardiac monitoring and nursing care to patients with cardiac and acute conditions, working collaboratively with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to deliver safe, evidence-based patient care.
Shift & Duration
- Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Frequency: Every other weekend required
- Contract Length: 16 weeks
- Start Date: September 20, 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Perform continuous cardiac monitoring; interpret rhythms and identify arrhythmias, escalating care promptly
- Assess, monitor, and respond to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications, including cardiac drips and antiarrhythmics, per physician orders
- Collaborate with cardiologists and the interdisciplinary team on the plan of care
- Respond to rapid response and code interventions as needed
- Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, treatment plans, and lifestyle modifications
- Accurately document assessments and interventions in the electronic health record
- Manage a typical patient load per unit acuity and staffing guidelines
- Maintain infection control and fall prevention protocols
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license (state or compact)
- BSN preferred; ADN accepted
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Telemetry/EKG interpretation competency
- 1+ years of telemetry nursing experience
- Experience monitoring cardiac rhythms and managing cardiac medications
- 2+ years of acute care RN experience preferred
