Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Location: Louisville, KY

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Every other weekend required

Contract Duration: 15 weeks

Start Date: September 20, 2026

About the Role

The facility is seeking an experienced RN for its telemetry unit. You'll provide continuous cardiac monitoring and nursing care to patients with acute cardiac and other conditions requiring close observation. This is a fast-paced environment where your clinical judgment, attention to detail, and ability to respond quickly to patient changes directly impact outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; identify arrhythmias and escalate care appropriately
• Administer cardiac medications, including drips and antiarrhythmics, per physician orders
• Assess and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with cardiologists, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team on patient care plans
• Respond to rapid response and code interventions as needed
• Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, treatment plans, and lifestyle modifications
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the EMR
• Maintain infection control and fall prevention standards

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (state or compact)
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Telemetry/EKG interpretation competency required
• Minimum 2 years of acute care telemetry RN experience
• Experience with cardiac rhythm monitoring and cardiac medications

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and respond quickly in clinical emergencies.
