Labor & Delivery | Night Shift | Asheville, NC
This 13-week travel contract places you in an active Labor & Delivery unit serving a diverse obstetric population, including high-risk pregnancies. The unit runs a fast-paced, high-acuity environment with a team that includes charge nurses, PCTs, CSTs, and RNs on both day and night shifts.
Shift: 18:45–07:15 (Night Shift)
Guaranteed Hours: 36/week
Start Date: September 7, 2026
Procedures Performed:
- Vaginal deliveries
- Cesarean sections
- D&C
- Cerclage
- Cesarean hysterectomy (C-Hyst)
Required Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
- High-risk OB experience
- Immediate newborn care
- Circulating experience preferred
Required Certifications:
- NRP
- BLS or ACLS
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring
Float Requirements:
- May float to Maternal-Fetal Medicine/High-Risk OB, Mother-Baby, or NICU
Additional Details:
- Scrubs provided by the facility
- Weekend and on-call assignments are not required but may be available upon approval
- Ideal candidate is outgoing, friendly, and adaptable in a dynamic clinical setting
This role is best suited for an experienced L&D nurse who is comfortable with high-risk patients and confident across the full spectrum of obstetric procedures.
