Shift: 06:45–19:15 | Contract: 13 Weeks | Guaranteed Hours: 36/week
This Labor & Delivery position is based in Asheville, NC, supporting a busy unit managing a full spectrum of obstetric care from routine vaginal deliveries to complex, high-risk cases.
Unit Overview
The L&D unit handles a high-acuity patient population with nurse-to-patient assignments of 1:1 and 1:2. The clinical scope includes:
- Vaginal deliveries
- Cesarean sections
- D&C
- Cerclage
- C-Hyst
- Immediate newborn care
The team includes charge nurses, RNs, PCTs, and CSTs on both day and night shifts.
What You'll Need
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience *(required)*
- High-risk obstetric experience *(required)*
- Immediate newborn care skills *(required)*
- Circulating experience *(preferred)*
Required Certifications
- NRP
- BLS or ALS
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring
Additional Details
- Float areas: MFM, Mother-Baby, NICU
- Weekends: Available upon approval; not required
- On-call: Available upon approval
- Scrubs: Provided by the facility
