Labor & Delivery RN — Asheville, NC | 13-Week Contract

This active Labor & Delivery unit provides comprehensive obstetric care across the full acuity spectrum, from routine vaginal deliveries to complex high-risk cases. The team is collaborative and fast-paced, with both day and night shifts staffed by charge nurses, PCTs, CSTs, and RNs.

Shift & Schedule

• Day shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
• Guaranteed hours: 36/week
• Weekends and on-call available upon approval (not required)

Procedures & Clinical Scope

• Vaginal deliveries
• Cesarean sections
• D&C, cerclage, and cesarean hysterectomy
• Immediate newborn care
• High-risk obstetric management

Float Areas

• MFM/MOMB unit and NICU

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
• High-risk OB experience
• Immediate newborn care competency
• Current NRP, BLS/ALS, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Circulating experience in the OR

Outgoing, friendly, and adaptable — someone comfortable in a dynamic environment and willing to float as needed.

Scrubs provided by the facility.
