Labor & Delivery RN — Asheville, NC

Night Shift | 13-Week Contract

This Labor & Delivery position supports a high-volume unit managing the full spectrum of obstetric care, from routine vaginal deliveries to complex high-risk cases. The unit runs around the clock with charge nurse, PCT, CST, and RN coverage on all shifts.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Guaranteed 36 hours/week
• Weekends not required; available upon approval

Clinical Scope

The unit handles a wide range of procedures and patient acuity, including:

• Vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
• D&C, cerclage, and cesarean hysterectomy
• High-risk obstetric management
• Immediate newborn care
• Float coverage to MFM, mother-baby, and NICU as needed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
• High-risk OB experience required
• Immediate newborn care competency required
• Active RN license
• Certifications: NRP, BLS/ALS, Advanced Fetal Monitoring

Preferred

• Circulating experience within L&D
