Nursing Position – Progressive Care Unit

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a registered nurse for its progressive care unit (PCU). This is a 13-week contract role offering stability and predictable scheduling.

Shift & Schedule

• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (nights)
• Schedule: 4 x 12-hour shifts per week
• Weekends: Every other weekend
• Call: No call required
• Start Date: August 30, 2026

Unit Overview

You'll care for patients requiring close monitoring and intermediate-level care. The PCU bridges acute and step-down care, managing patients transitioning from critical care or those with complex medical-surgical needs.

Requirements

• Current RN license (verification required at submission)
• Valid driver's license or state ID
• Professional references
• Pass background check, drug screening, and skills assessment
• Standard health documentation (immunizations, TB screening, fit test, etc.)

What to Expect During Onboarding

You'll complete facility-specific competency assessments, including core nursing skills, EKG exam, and charting system orientation. All onboarding requirements are standard and provided by the facility.

• Guaranteed Hours: 48 per week
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Location: Wichita, Kansas
