Clinical Dietitian – 13-Week Contract

Position Overview

The facility seeks a Clinical Dietitian to join the nutrition team on a 13-week contract. You'll work Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, managing an average of 10–15 patients daily across a multi-specialty setting.

Required Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian (RD) credential
• Licensed Dietitian (LD) in Texas
• Critical care experience

Preferred Experience

• NICU nutrition support (to cover for the NICU dietitian during PTO)

What You'll Do

• Conduct nutrition-focused physical exams
• Develop and implement nutrition care plans for adult and geriatric patients in critical care settings
• Exercise order-writing privileges for oral supplements, diet modifications, and enteral nutrition adjustments (following physician orders)
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing, speech-language pathology, diabetes educators, and case management
• Provide flexible coverage across the facility as needed
• Participate in wound care nutrition consults and best practices initiatives

Unit Environment

You'll work alongside an experienced team, including a Clinical Nurse Manager and senior RDs with 10+ years of tenure. The team uses a mobile communication app to streamline real-time collaboration with providers and clinical staff, ensuring timely nutrition recommendations.

Dress Code

Olive green scrubs (moss FIGS brand).

• Guaranteed hours: 36/week
• Weekends: As needed
