Role Overview
We're seeking an experienced Endoscopy RN for a 13-week assignment in a high-volume endoscopy unit. You'll support procedures across adult and pediatric populations, working variable day shifts with on-call responsibilities.
Shift Schedule
- Day Shifts: Four 9-hour shifts Monday–Friday (7:00 AM–3:00 PM or 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, depending on assignment)
- Call: One weeknight call per week (ends at 7:00 AM) and two 24-hour weekend calls per 6-week period
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Clinical Scope
The endoscopy unit performs a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures:
- Adult: EGD, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, EUS, ERCP, EBUS, bronchoscopy, stent placements, PEG placement, tracheostomy placement, cryo therapy, capsule endoscopy, foreign body removal
- Pediatric (ages 1–18): EGD, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy
You'll work in a 4-procedure-room suite with 8 pre-op beds and 6 PACU beds, supporting 12–16 staff members daily.
Requirements
- Must Have: BLS, ACLS, PALS; active NC or Compact State RN license; prior endoscopy experience
- Preferred: Pediatric endoscopy or pulmonary endoscopy background
- Dress Code: Green surgical scrubs (navy also acceptable)
No floating required unless you volunteer.
