PACU Nurse – 13-Week Contract

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) nurse for an 18-month contract role. You'll provide post-operative care to patients recovering from anesthesia, monitoring vital signs, pain levels, and overall post-surgical status. This is a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and quick assessment skills are essential.

Shift Details

• Schedule: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday–Friday (5 × 8-hour shifts)
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: September 21, 2026

Requirements

• Current Georgia or compact nursing license
• Minimum 18 months nursing experience (PACU, PAT, or preop background preferred)
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• PALS certification required before your start date
• IV insertion skills
• Familiarity with electronic health records systems

What You'll Do

Monitor post-operative patients as they recover from anesthesia, assess pain and nausea, manage drains and dressings, communicate with surgical teams, and prepare patients for discharge or admission. You'll work alongside experienced PACU staff in a collaborative setting.
