Advanced PCU – Night Shift – Atlanta, GA

Position Overview

Join the advanced Progressive Care Unit for a 13-week night shift contract. This unit provides high-acuity cardiac stepdown care, operating with ICU-level clinical intensity and decision-making while maintaining a controlled patient ratio.

Shift & Schedule

• Night shift: 3 × 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• 36 hours/week
• Start dates: Every Monday
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Clinical Scope

You'll care for 24-hour post-CABG cardiac surgery patients with chest tubes in a 1:4–1:5 ratio. The unit manages complex post-operative cardiac patients. LVADs are present; the facility provides staff education. Ventilators are not typically managed on this unit.

Requirements

• Active RN license (Georgia or compact state)
• ACLS certification required
• 18 months specialty experience within the past 3 years
• Rhythm identification test (proctored, two attempts permitted) required upon start
• Ventilator experience not required
