Respiratory Therapist – 13-Week Contract

About the Role

Join a busy respiratory therapy team managing 30–40 patient treatments daily across multiple care settings. You'll work a 3×12-hour day schedule (7:00 AM–7:00 PM) in an acute-care environment serving adults, pediatrics, and neonates.

Clinical Scope

You'll provide respiratory support across inpatient, outpatient, emergency, ICU, operating room, and post-anesthesia care settings. Case types include STEMI, CVA, COVID, EKOS procedures, cardiac arrest, and IABP management. Your duties include:

• Drawing arterial blood gases (ABGs)
• Performing EKGs as needed
• Assisting with intubation
• Managing ventilators and high-flow oxygen delivery

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year respiratory therapy experience
• Current RRT licensure (NBRC)
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA)
• NRP preferred

Schedule & Support

• Every other weekend
• Holidays rotate with permanent staff
• No on-call requirement
• Physician support: hospitalists/intensivists available 24/7
• 2-day department orientation
• Supervisor available Monday–Friday

Logistics

• Wine burgundy scrubs
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• No floating to sister campuses
