Registered Nurse – Non-Invasive Cardiology

Position Overview

The facility seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Non-Invasive Cardiology team. You'll work in a fast-paced diagnostic environment, supporting patients undergoing various stress testing and cardiac imaging procedures. This role requires strong cardiac nursing skills, independent clinical judgment, and the ability to respond quickly to changes in patient condition.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform pre-procedure patient assessments and preparation for cardiac testing
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and patient responses throughout procedures
• Administer medications per established protocols and provider orders
• Assist with multiple diagnostic modalities: Nuclear Medicine stress tests, Dobutamine stress tests, Cardiac MRI, CCTA, and exercise/treadmill testing
• Recognize abnormal findings and adverse responses; initiate appropriate interventions
• Collaborate with cardiologists, imaging staff, and cardiovascular team members
• Provide patient education on procedures, expectations, and post-procedure care

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• ACLS certification
• Previous cardiac stress testing experience across multiple modalities
• Strong cardiac rhythm recognition and ECG interpretation skills
• Experience administering and monitoring cardiac medications
• Excellent assessment, critical-thinking, and communication skills

Schedule & Contract Details

• Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Options: 5 eight-hour shifts or 4 ten-hour shifts (negotiable)
• Rotating weekend coverage required
• Contract duration: 13 weeks
• No on-call or holiday requirements
