Neurology/Stroke Unit – Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Contract: 13 weeks | Guaranteed Hours: 36/week

Join a fast-paced designated stroke unit where your clinical skills and teamwork directly improve patient outcomes. You'll care for acute stroke patients and general medical-surgical patients, focusing on neurological assessment, recovery support, and helping patients regain independence with activities of daily living.

What You'll Do:

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity stroke environment
• Perform neurological assessments and monitor post-stroke progression
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including RNs, LPNs, and patient care technicians
• Support patient rehabilitation and functional recovery
• Float to other units or facilities within a 35-mile radius based on staffing and census needs (you'll be notified before your shift)

Required Credentials & Certifications:

• Current RN license (Nursys verification required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test
