Emergency Department Nurse – 13-Week Contract

Position Overview

Join the emergency department at the facility in Wichita, KS. You'll work night shifts in a high-volume ED that serves a significant population of behavioral health patients. This is a 13-week contract with guaranteed 48-hour weekly availability.

Shift & Schedule

• 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (nights)
• 4 x 12-hour shifts per week
• Every other weekend
• No call responsibilities

Clinical Environment

You'll provide emergency care to a diverse patient population with an emphasis on behavioral health presentations. The ED manages high-acuity and complex cases requiring strong assessment, de-escalation, and crisis intervention skills.

Requirements

• Active RN license (verification required)
• Current ACLS and PALS certifications
• Demonstrated experience in emergency nursing or behavioral health settings preferred
• Proficiency with electronic health records systems

Onboarding

Standard facility credentialing applies, including background check, health screening (vaccinations, TB testing, drug screen), skills validation, and competency assessments.
