Telemetry RN — Night Shift | Augusta, GA
Contract: 14 Weeks | Shift: Nights, 3×12-Hour (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Start: September 14, 2026
This telemetry unit cares for an adult and geriatric population with diagnoses including CHF, MI/chest pain (pre- and post-cath), dysrhythmias (pre- and post-device implants), hypo-/hypertension, pleural effusion, sepsis, and PE/DVT/vascular issues.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience; first-time travelers welcome
- Active Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of submission
- BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS preferred
- Candidates must be able to manage cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration (milrinone, dobutamine, amiodarone, cardizem, lidocaine, bumex, heparin)
Clinical Skills
- Cardiac telemetry monitoring (unit and remote), dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management
- Central line, PICC, and peripheral IV care; heparin and IV insulin protocols
- Blood product administration, pre/post cardiac cath and angiogram care
- Tracheostomy care, chest tubes, wound care/wound VAC, surgical drains
- ABG interpretation, PCA management, isolation precautions
Scheduling & Expectations
- Scrub color: Navy blue
- Patient ratio: 4–5:1
- Every other weekend required
- Floating within scope of practice as needed; no on-call required
- Max 7 days RTO per contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
- RTO blackout: Spring Break (April 4–12); no RTO during orientation week
- Holiday work expectations apply based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment period
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered); COVID-19 vaccine not required
