Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

About the Role
The facility's Labor & Delivery unit is seeking an experienced RN to provide direct care to laboring patients and their families. You'll monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor and delivery, manage high-risk obstetric conditions, and support both vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and interpret fetal heart rate patterns and uterine contractions; escalate concerns promptly
- Administer labor induction/augmentation medications and provide epidural support per orders
- Manage high-risk OB complications including preeclampsia, hemorrhage, and fetal distress
- Assist with vaginal deliveries and provide circulating support for cesarean sections
- Provide immediate newborn care and resuscitation when needed
- Educate patients and families on labor progress and pain management options
- Collaborate with OB physicians, midwives, anesthesia, and NICU teams
- Document labor progress and interventions accurately in the electronic health record
Requirements
- Active RN license (state or compact)
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
- AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification preferred
- Minimum 1+ years of L&D nursing experience
- Experience with fetal monitoring, high-risk obstetrics, and operative deliveries
- BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
