Labor and Delivery Nurse – 13-Week Contract

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Location: Tulsa, OK

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week

About the Role

Provide direct nursing care to expectant mothers and newborns in a fast-paced labor and delivery unit. You'll monitor maternal and fetal vital signs, manage pain (including epidural administration), assist with vaginal and surgical deliveries, and educate families on postpartum recovery. Work as the primary coordinator across all disciplines to ensure seamless, well-coordinated patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor individualized patient care plans
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the healthcare team
• Carry out physician and nursing orders with precision
• Assess discharge planning needs and coordinate with team members
• Work with critical thinking and decisive judgment in a high-stress environment
• Follow Standard Precautions and use personal protective equipment appropriately

Requirements

• Active RN license
• ACLS certification required at onboarding
• Willingness to work up to 6 weekend shifts and holidays per department needs
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, demanding clinical environment
