Registered Dietitian / Nutritionist

Position Overview

The facility seeks a Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) for a 13-week travel contract providing inpatient nutrition counseling and medical nutrition therapy.

Shift & Schedule

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm (40 hours/week)
• Remote on-call every 6–8 weeks (adult) or every 4–6 weeks (pediatric)
• Weekends and holidays: on-call remote only
• 2 shifts cancellation allowed per 13-week contract

Clinical Scope

You will manage a caseload of 8–10 patient consults daily across:

• Adult patients: General medicine and hospitalist populations
• Pediatric patients: General pediatric inpatient coverage (if applicable)

Common diagnoses include obesity, prediabetes, cancer, celiac disease, hypertension, high cholesterol, malnutrition, eating disorders, and conditions causing unintentional weight loss.

Requirements

• Current RD or RDN credential
• West Virginia state licensure
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient clinical experience
• Pediatric experience preferred for pediatric assignments
• BLS certification
• Valid driver's license with address outside 50 miles from the facility

• Dress code: Sea mist green scrubs or business casual
• May provide secondary coverage for staff days off
• Comprehensive department and unit-specific orientation provided
