Telemetry/Medical-Surgical Nursing – Night Shift
Position Overview
Join the facility's Telemetry/Medical-Surgical unit for a 13-week contract. You'll deliver skilled nursing care to geriatric, adult medical-surgical, and telemetry patients using the full nursing process—assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Work collaboratively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team while maintaining high professional standards.
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Hours: 36 per week (guaranteed)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: September 28, 2026
Clinical Details
- Manage telemetry patient monitoring and dysrhythmia recognition
- Current patient ratios: 1:5 on day shift; 1:6 on night shift
- Float support to acute care units and emergency department as needed
- Occasional on-call coverage during low-census periods (respond and arrive on-site within one hour)
Requirements
- Current RN license
- ACLS certification
- Experience with electronic health records in a telemetry or medical-surgical unit within the last 12 months
- Dysrhythmia Competency: You will self-study telemetry strips upon acceptance and complete a basic dysrhythmia test during your first week. Passing is mandatory to work on this unit.
Pre-Employment Screening
Standard onboarding credentials required, including vaccination records, background check, drug screen, TB testing, and fit test.
