Medical-Surgical / Surgical Trauma Nurse — Night Shift | Atlanta, GA

Contract Duration: 13 weeks | Start Date: November 16, 2026

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Three 12-hour shifts per week | 36 guaranteed hours

This high-acuity surgical trauma unit manages a complex patient population including post-operative surgical patients, gunshot wound survivors, quadriplegic, and paraplegic patients. The unit operates with strong ancillary support — nursing support technicians, phlebotomists, and a unit secretary are all present on nights.

Structured nurse-to-nurse handoffs occur between the ED and the admitting unit, ensuring continuity of care and patient safety at transition.

Schedule & Expectations

• Night shift only; no block scheduling
• No time-off requests (RTO) during the contract period
• Flexibility with assigned shifts is required

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a surgical or medical-surgical specialty
• BLS certification required
• ACLS preferred
• Proficiency with electronic health records required
• Active Georgia RN license (or compact eligibility)
