Cardiac Cath Lab Technician

Position Overview

The facility seeks an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Technician for day shifts in a busy cardiovascular program. You'll support interventional cardiology procedures in a fast-paced cath lab environment while maintaining strong clinical skills and patient safety standards.

Schedule & Commitment

• Shift: Day shifts, 10 hours per day (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• On-Call: Every 5th weekend and 1 weekday per week
• Float Assignments: As needed to Pre/Post Cardiac Units
• Guaranteed Hours: 91 weeks

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain cath lab equipment and supplies
• Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
• Monitor and document patient vital signs and procedure data
• Ensure strict adherence to sterile technique and safety protocols
• Respond promptly to on-call requests

Required Qualifications

• Current RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) certification or equivalent
• Minimum 2+ years of cardiac cath lab experience
• BLS certification
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to float to adjacent cardiac units as staffing needs dictate
