Med Surg Tele

Registered Nurse – Palliative/Stroke/Tikosyn Unit | Nights | Rochester, NY

This 16-week travel contract places you on a specialized unit combining palliative care, stroke management, and Tikosyn initiation/monitoring. The unit operates at an acute level, caring for patients requiring neurological assessment, end-of-life support, and cardiac rhythm management.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 36 or 48 hours per week available
• 1 weekend shift per week, or 2 weekend shifts every other weekend
• Minimum 1 holiday worked per contract
• Block scheduling can be requested but is not guaranteed
• Estimated start date: September 8, 2026

Clinical Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent acute med/surg or telemetry experience (2 years preferred)
• Non-U.S. trained candidates must have 2 years of U.S. clinical experience
• Must be willing to work charge nurse role (training provided)
• Float to other units required based on facility needs

Licenses & Certifications

• Active New York RN license
• AHA BLS
• NIHSS certification

Additional Requirements

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Flexibility with scheduling is essential to meet unit needs

This is a strong fit for a med/surg or telemetry nurse comfortable with neurologically complex and palliative patient populations who is ready to step into a charge role when needed.
