Interventional Radiology Technologist

Position Overview

Join the interventional radiology department as a technologist supporting a dynamic clinical team. You'll work day shifts in a 3-room IR suite performing high-acuity diagnostic and interventional procedures for adult and geriatric patients.

Shift & Schedule

• Days: 4x10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Call: Weekday backup call (5 PM – 7 AM, Monday–Friday); weekend primary or backup call (7 AM – 7 AM Saturday and Sunday)
• Contract Duration: 14 weeks
• Start Date: September 14, 2026

Clinical Scope

You'll assist with approximately 10 cases per day, including:

• Neuro and vascular interventional procedures
• Stroke and thrombectomy cases
• Biopsies, nephrograms, and kyphoplasty
• Peripheral interventions and hemodynamic monitoring
• Carotid stenting, angiography, embolization, and TIPS procedures

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years interventional radiology experience
• Active Maryland RT license (or compact state license)
• ACLS, BLS, ARRT-R certification
• ARRT-VI and fluoroscopy permit preferred
• Neuro and vascular interventional experience required

Notes

• Teaching hospital and Level I trauma experience preferred
• First-time travelers welcome
• You may float within scope to other areas as needed
• No regular weekend requirement, but weekend call is expected
• Auto-approval for up to 14 days time off; every other major holiday required
• Maximum 365 days per assignment; 6-month separation required to return
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
