Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Contract Duration: 16 weeks

About the Role

The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its telemetry unit. You'll provide continuous cardiac monitoring and nursing care to patients with cardiac and acute conditions, interpreting rhythms, managing cardiac medications, and responding to changes in patient condition with clinical precision and compassion.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform continuous cardiac monitoring and interpret EKG rhythms; identify and escalate arrhythmias appropriately
• Administer cardiac medications, including drips and antiarrhythmics, per physician orders
• Assess patients and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Collaborate with cardiologists, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team on care planning
• Respond to rapid response and code interventions as needed
• Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, treatment, and lifestyle modifications
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately
• Maintain infection control and fall prevention protocols
• Mentor and support team members as appropriate

Requirements

• Active RN license (state or compact)
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 2 years acute care inpatient nursing experience
• 1+ years telemetry experience with demonstrated EKG/cardiac rhythm interpretation competency
• Experience with cardiac medications and rhythm management

Schedule

Every other weekend required.
