PACU Travel RN – Seasonal Assignment
Position Overview
Join the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team for a 13-week seasonal assignment. You'll work nights (3:30 PM – 4:00 AM) in a high-volume surgical recovery environment with guaranteed 36 hours per week.
Unit & Clinical Scope
The PACU manages recovery for patients across multiple surgical specialties. You'll care for high-acuity cases including neuro and stroke patients, interventional radiology procedures, TAVR cases, and a full range of surgeries (spine, general, GI, colorectal, total joint, GYN, and robotics). The unit also absorbs critical care overflow. Staff float across multiple PACU areas to maintain flexibility and learn diverse clinical settings.
Staffing & Ratios
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year current PACU hospital experience
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Ability to manage fast-paced recovery and critical care overflow
Preferred Qualifications
- Stroke care certification or critical care experience
- Comfort with high-acuity neuro cases
