ORTHOPEDIC RN – NIGHTS

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced RN for a night shift position (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) on an orthopedic unit. This is a 13-week travel contract with guaranteed 36-hour weeks.

About the Unit

The orthopedic unit provides care for post-operative and trauma patients requiring specialized wound and drain management. You'll work in a collaborative environment with a skilled nursing team and support staff.

Patient Care & Clinical Scope

• Patient ratios: 1:5 RN (1:6 maximum)
• Common procedures: drain removal, PICC line placements (in collaboration with infusion specialists)
• Patient care equipment: mobility lifts, chest tubes, hemavac drains, wound vacs, JP drains, PCA, and foley catheters
• Acuity level: post-surgical orthopedic and trauma patients

Requirements

• Current BLS Certification
• Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital orthopedic nursing experience
• Valid RN license

Preferred Qualifications

• Orthopedic or trauma background
• Medical/surgical nursing experience
