Observation Unit RN — Zanesville, OH
13-Week Contract | Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
This travel RN position is based primarily on an Observation unit, with required float coverage to Med-Surg units including Respiratory, Stroke, and Cardiac floors. Candidates with ED experience may also be asked to float there when appropriate.
Schedule
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend required
- Call is a rare occurrence
Clinical Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of current, recent Telemetry/Med-Surg experience
- Must be able to read Telemetry/cardiac rhythm strips (BCRA); competency will be tested on day one — candidates who do not pass will be released immediately
- Demonstrated EMR proficiency is mandatory and must be documented at submission; no refresher training or one-on-one orientation is available for this skill
Certifications Required
- Active BLS
- Active ACLS
Additional Details
- Start date: September 21, 2026 (firm; no alternative start dates available)
- The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 36 hours over the 13-week contract period
- All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application — RTO added after confirmation cannot be guaranteed
