Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) – Circulating Nurse

Position Overview

The facility's cardiovascular and thoracic surgical program is seeking an experienced CVOR circulating nurse for a 13-week contract. You'll join a dynamic team performing high-acuity procedures in a fast-paced, complex environment alongside multiple experienced surgeons.

Shift & Schedule

Monday–Friday: 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM (8-hour shifts)
On-call: Minimum 1 weekday and 1 full weekend per month (may vary based on staffing needs)
Call response time: 30 minutes
Holiday coverage required
Guaranteed 40 hours/week

Clinical Scope

You'll circulate cases including CABG, valve repair/replacement (MVR, AVR), kidney transplant, robotic-assisted thoracic and cardiac procedures, peripheral vascular repairs, aortic repair, hybrid procedures (TEVAR/EVAR, TAVR), and advanced support modalities (Impella, IABP, ECMO). Expect approximately 20 cases per day across 12 OR suites.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years CVOR circulating experience
RN license and current BLS, ACLS certifications
Ability to work independently with varied surgeon preferences
Scrubbing experience preferred (not required)
