Registered Nurse

Emergency Room RN — Night Shift | San Antonio, TX | 13-Week Contract

This night-shift travel RN position is in a busy Emergency Department in the San Antonio, Texas area. The unit manages a broad spectrum of emergent and urgent presentations, including stroke (with TPA administration), chest pain/cardiac alerts, sepsis protocols, behavioral health patients, and conscious sedation. Intubation participation is expected.

Shift & Schedule

• 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Call requirements apply
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Float requirement in effect; floating policy will be reviewed at interview

Required Certifications & Licensure

• Active Texas RN license (temp licenses not accepted)
• BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC
• TNCC
• NIHSS

Preferred

• CEN certification
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience required

Clinical Scope

Candidates should be comfortable with high-acuity , trauma activations, rapid assessment, stroke and sepsis protocols, cardiac alerts, and behavioral health monitoring. Strong documentation skills required.

Dress Code

• Scrubs: Navy (undershirts and jackets in white, navy, or black only)
• No acrylic nails; nail polish must be clean and chip-free
• Hair off shoulders, natural color
• Visible piercings limited to ears; body art should be covered when possible
