Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a day shift role in its diagnostic imaging department. This is a 13-week contract starting September 21, 2026.

Shift & Schedule

  • Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday–Friday
  • Call: On-call after 3:00 PM weekdays and 7:00 AM–7:00 PM weekends
  • Float: Floating to other departments as needed based on census and competency

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
  • NMTCB or ARRT(N) certification required
  • State radiologic/nuclear medicine license
  • BLS certification
  • Minimum 1 year of nuclear medicine experience
  • Familiarity with radiopharmaceutical handling and radiation safety protocols
  • Hunter Green scrubs required

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals per physician orders
  • Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures (bone scans, cardiac studies, PET/CT, thyroid scans, etc.)
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment and dose calibrators
  • Calculate and verify radiopharmaceutical dosages
  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions
  • Ensure radiation safety protocols and ALARA principles are followed
  • Document exams, dosages, and patient records accurately
  • Perform quality control checks on equipment
  • Handle, store, and dispose of radioactive materials per regulatory guidelines
  • Collaborate with radiologists and physicians on imaging findings

Onboarding

Orientation occurs every Monday. Pre-assignment modules (up to 16 hours) must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing.
