Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a day shift role in its diagnostic imaging department. This is a 13-week contract starting September 21, 2026.
Shift & Schedule
- Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday–Friday
- Call: On-call after 3:00 PM weekdays and 7:00 AM–7:00 PM weekends
- Float: Floating to other departments as needed based on census and competency
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
- NMTCB or ARRT(N) certification required
- State radiologic/nuclear medicine license
- BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of nuclear medicine experience
- Familiarity with radiopharmaceutical handling and radiation safety protocols
- Hunter Green scrubs required
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals per physician orders
- Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures (bone scans, cardiac studies, PET/CT, thyroid scans, etc.)
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment and dose calibrators
- Calculate and verify radiopharmaceutical dosages
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions
- Ensure radiation safety protocols and ALARA principles are followed
- Document exams, dosages, and patient records accurately
- Perform quality control checks on equipment
- Handle, store, and dispose of radioactive materials per regulatory guidelines
- Collaborate with radiologists and physicians on imaging findings
Onboarding
Orientation occurs every Monday. Pre-assignment modules (up to 16 hours) must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing.
