Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) RN — Travel Contract

Morgantown, WV | Nights | 13 Weeks

This 13-week travel contract places you in a specialized cardiac care unit focused on high-acuity cardiothoracic surgery patients. The unit manages direct fresh open-heart admissions from the OR as well as complex medical cardiology cases including cardiogenic shock, STEMIs, complicated cardiac cath lab patients, and post-code patients. Surgical cases include CABGs, open valve replacements, thoracotomies, carotid endarterectomies, and TAVR procedures.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 3×12-hour shifts
• Weekdays and weekends required
• Blocked schedules considered
• Occasional float to Medical ICU or Step Down Unit possible

Required Experience & Certifications

• Minimum 2 years RN experience in CVICU/cardiac critical care
• ACT (Activated Clotting Time) experience required
• Direct fresh open-heart OR admissions experience required
• Proficiency in: Swan-Ganz/PA catheter management, Impella monitoring, CRRT/CVVHD, arterial line management, vasoactive and cardiac drip titration, ventilator management, IABP, LVAD/RVAD, pressure monitoring
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required (BLS/ACLS must be AHA-issued)
• WV or Compact RN license required; pending license accepted
