Travel RN – Pediatric Congenital Cardiac ICU | Denver, CO

Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 13-Week Contract | Starts August 17, 2026

Join a dedicated Pediatric Cardiac ICU caring for a complex congenital heart population, including medical neonates and post-operative cardiac patients. This unit partners closely with the PICU, giving you access to a deep bench of experienced colleagues and resources throughout every shift.

Unit & Clinical Scope

• High-acuity cardiac critical care: post-operative sternotomy and open-chest management, inotropic and vasopressor infusions, chest tube management, and moderate sedation
• Specialized procedures including peritoneal dialysis, CRRT, and ECMO support at bedside
• Collaborative, interdisciplinary model: you'll work directly alongside board-certified pediatric and congenital heart intensivists
• 36 guaranteed hours per week; weekend commitment of 4 shifts per 4-week schedule

What to Expect

• A tenured nursing team with an average of 10 years of experience and a strong culture of safety and evidence-based practice
• Ideal personality fit: flexible, organized, team-oriented, and willing to resource and teach

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of cardiac critical care experience (required by unit director)
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
• Active RN license (state or applicable compact)
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted
• Peritoneal dialysis, CRRT, and/or ECMO bedside experience strongly preferred
• CPN certification preferred
