CT Technologist

Location: Charleston, SC

Shift: 7:00 PM – 1:30 AM (Friday–Sunday, holidays, and call rotation)

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week

About the Role

The facility's CT department performs high-volume imaging across trauma, stroke, emergency department, and inpatient cases. You'll operate advanced CT equipment to acquire diagnostic-quality images, prepare and administer contrast media, and monitor patients for adverse reactions. Patient safety and radiation protection are priorities—you'll follow ALARA principles and maintain strict protocol compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT exams per physician orders with accurate positioning and image quality
• Screen patients for contraindications (allergies, renal function, pregnancy) and review clinical history
• Administer contrast media and monitor patient tolerance
• Operate and troubleshoot CT equipment
• Document exams accurately in RIS/PACS systems
• Collaborate with radiologists and referring physicians

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• ARRT(R)(CT) certification required
• Current BLS certification
• State radiologic technology license (as applicable)
• IV certification/venipuncture skills
• 1+ years of CT experience preferred

Schedule & Expectations

Friday–Sunday rotation with holidays and call coverage in accordance with facility policy. Gray scrubs required.
