About the Role
The facility's endoscopy department is seeking an experienced RN to join a dynamic team performing a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. You'll work across pre-op, procedure, and recovery areas in a fast-paced environment serving adult and pediatric patients.
Shift & Schedule
- Four 9-hour day shifts per week (Monday–Friday), with variable start times between 6:30 AM and 8:30 AM depending on daily assignment
- One overnight call shift per week (call runs from end of shift until 7:00 AM, or from 5:00 PM if not scheduled that day)
- Two weekend 24-hour call shifts per 6-week period
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
- Green surgical scrubs provided; navy blue also acceptable
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license (NC or compact state)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification
- Minimum 1+ year of endoscopy experience required
- Experience with conscious/moderate sedation administration and monitoring
- Pediatric endoscopy experience preferred
Clinical Scope
You'll assist with colonoscopy, EGD, sigmoidoscopy, ERCP, EBUS, bronchoscopy, stent placements, PEG placement, tracheostomy placement, and foreign body removal in both adult and pediatric populations (ages 1–18). Responsibilities include patient preparation, sedation monitoring, vital sign monitoring, specimen handling, post-procedure recovery care, equipment maintenance, and detailed documentation.
