Medical ICU – Travel RN | Lawrenceville, GA

Night Shift | 13-Week Contract

This Medical Intensive Care Unit cares for critically ill adult patients presenting with complex conditions including sepsis, respiratory failure, and multi-organ dysfunction. The unit also manages COVID-19 ICU patients. Nurses work alongside intensivists and an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-acuity, comprehensive critical care.

Shift & Schedule

• 12-hour nights, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Three shifts per week, 36 guaranteed hours
• Holiday requirement: Must work two of three major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) plus one minor holiday (day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)

Contract Details

• Duration: 16 weeks
• Start Date: September 14, 2026
• Non-local candidates only (must reside more than 50 miles from the facility)

Clinical Responsibilities

• Manage ventilated patients, arterial lines, central lines, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Titrate vasoactive drips, sedation, and other critical care infusions
• Respond to rapid response events and code interventions
• Assess and monitor for changes in condition; escalate care appropriately
• Educate patients and families; document thoroughly in the EMR

Requirements

• Active RN license (state or applicable compact)
• Minimum 2 years of MICU or critical care experience
• BLS and ACLS required
• NIHSS certification required
• CCRN preferred
• BSN preferred; ADN considered
