Travel RN – NICU | Denver, CO | Night Shift

Contract: 13 weeks | Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Guaranteed Hours: 36/week

About the Unit

This Level III NICU cares for critically ill and premature neonates, including micro-preemies as young as 23 weeks gestational age. The unit manages high-acuity patients requiring ventilator support, oscillators, bubble CPAP, central lines, pump feeds, and arterial monitoring. NICU nurses attend all high-risk deliveries, and the team actively supports neonatal transitions and resuscitations.

Clinical Scope

• Ventilator and advanced respiratory support management
• Medication administration and titrated drips with precise neonatal dosing
• Blood draws (arterial, venous, and heel stick); blood product administration
• Assistance with Level III procedures including pneumo taps, chest tubes, and intubations
• Developmental care, thermoregulation, and family-centered support including kangaroo care
• Circumcision support and PIV placement

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of current acute care NICU experience
• Level III or Level IV NICU experience required
• Active RN license (or applicable compact license)
• BLS and NRP required
• RNC-NIC certification preferred; PALS a plus
• BSN preferred; ADN considered per facility policy
