Cardiac Med/Tele RN – Night Shift

Location: Rochester, NY

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour nights)

Contract Duration: 16 weeks

Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week available

About the Role

Join the cardiac med/tele unit to provide comprehensive nursing care for adult patients with a wide range of medical and surgical conditions. You'll assess and monitor patient condition, administer medications and treatments, manage pre- and post-operative care, and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team on discharge planning. Patient education and accurate EMR documentation are core to the role.

Requirements

• Active RN license in New York (or compact license)
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 1 year recent acute med/surg or tele experience (2 years U.S. work experience required for international candidates)
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
• CMSRN certification preferred
• Ability to manage diverse patient caseloads with varying acuity levels
• Willingness to work as charge nurse (training provided)
• Ability to float to other units as needed
• Flexibility with scheduling; block booking may be requested but is not guaranteed

Schedule Details

• 1 weekend shift per week, or 2 weekend shifts every other weekend
• Must work at least 1 holiday during contract
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
